Glasses could help drivers save money when they compare car insurance
Motorists who want to avoid accidents and protect their cars can come out on top when they compare car insurance premiums which require wearing glasses and contact lenses behind the wheels if they need them.
According to West Yorkshire Police, drivers who cannot see properly are at a higher risk of being involved in a traffic collision. Earlier this week, the force was involved in spot checks in Huddersfield designed to test whether a motorists eyesight in the town meet with the legal requirements.
About 89% people were stopped and West Yorkshire Police said that they were pleased to reveal every single individual passed the test. Drivers were stopped and asked to read the registration plates from a distance, in some way novices are during the practical exam.
Sergeant Rachael Bairstow explained ” In doing this, we really want to send out a message to other motorists that if you require glasses or contact lenses for driving make sure you use them”.
