The company has revealed the introduction of the car scrappage incentive scheme which will mean that the buyers can drive away in an Alfa MiTo 1.4 16V Turismo for £8,995.
It is also pointed out that at the last time it was possible to buy one of its models for its sort of price was in the year 1989, when the petrol cost was 38p per litre and Bobby McFerrin stormed the charts with Don’t Worry, Be Happy. Standard equipment on Alfa MiTo includes electrically adjustable door mirrors, seven airbags, alarm and immobilizer, electric power- assisted steering and air conditioning system.
Other models from the manufacturer will be available with as much as £3,000 knocked off in addition to the incentive being offered by the government. Buyers may be able to make additional savings by searching for cheap car insurance online also.
